Way back in the year 2016, we got to see Vuhl 05RR supercar for the first time. The Mexican based company revealed the new supercar at Goodwood Festival of Speed. Post that Vuhl have only offered 05RR for Forza Motorsport 7. Even though it was meant for virtual world, it changed dramatically when the Mexican company announced the market launch of 05RR in Mexico City. It has taken them two years for their first unveiling but now Vuhl 05RR is finally becoming available for those who are looking for more performance than the company’s earlier car 05.
If we compare Vuhl 05RR with 05 variant, it is 65kg lighter and its dry weight is 660kg. Additionally, power and torque of 05RR has been increased and is now up by 115hp and 100Nm of torque thanks to usage of larger 2.3 liter engine. Power-to-weight ratio of Vuhl 05RR claims to be 600hp/tonne. This figure outdoes McLaren P1, Ferrari F12 TdF and even Bugatti Veyron. Vuhl 05RR consists of lightweight flywheel, lighter race clutch and full carbon wheels which reduces rotational inertia. The 2.3 liter turbocharged EcoBoost four-cylinder engine generates an output of 385hp and 500Nm of torque. The engine works in conjugation with Sadev six-speed sequential paddle shift gearbox which powers the rear wheels.
The setup helps the Vuhl 05RR to accelerate from 0 to 60mph in 2.7 seconds before hitting the top speed of 158mph. The incorporated powertrain is closer to the ground that lowers center of gravity by 50mm. This supercar offers lots of grip thanks to combination of limited slip differential and track-focused suspension and steering rack. With regards to aesthetics, Vuhl 05RR comes with updated aerodynamics package and all-new high downforce setup. Vuhl has also made significant changes in the cabin. The 05RR is available in Europe, US and Mexico.
