Spyker SUV is back on the track again. Spyker, the automaker of UK confirms a contract of engine supply with Koenigsegg. This UK automaker is bringing back the plan of a luxurious SUV. Spyker launched D12 Peking to SUV Paris concept. It was introduced in the Geneva Motor Show of 2006. But there were many financial problems related with it. As a result, the car could not make its way to production. But the car might have foreseen the future. It anticipated the resonate market of superior performance SUVs.
Spyker SUV is just on its way to debut. The automaker, Spyker spoke to Autocar. Victor Muller, the Spyker boss disclosed about the brand new SUV. He said that the new SUV is on its way from the canopy. However, the Spyker boss divulged many other things about the new car. He said that they parted from the way to produce their super SUV. It was a decade ago that it occurred. They were in the front of the curve at the time for luxurious SUVs. Moreover, the original car was termed something different. It was called as D12 Peking to Paris. The W12 Volkswagen engine was going to be featured in that car. But they lost their funding before delivery.
They had to pay the deposits back to about 200 customers or more. However, they hope not to pass such stage again in future. The new Spyker SUV will feature Lotus engineered aluminum platform. It will come up with Koenigsegg V8 engine. The car will even feature an electric motor. It will act as a range extender. Spyker SUV will be an upgraded hybrid. All its specifications are set. Muller said that he wish to show it in 2018 Geneva Motor Show if everything goes fine.
