The time has arrived when Spyker C8 Aileron is getting prepared for its final goodbye. However, it appears the model will show up its last sparkle before going to a stop production. As per the announcements made, the automakers are planning to prepare three limited edition models as a sign of the final goodbye of the Spyker C8 Aileron. The models will be known as LM85. Hence, the automaker named it after C8 Laviolette LM85. Getting inspiration from the race cars of the company, the Spyker C8 Aileron will be equipped with wider arches on the wheel and riveted bodywork of aluminum. Moreover, solid billet aluminum will be used in making the air intakes.
However, each model of the Spyker C8 Aileron will come with its unique dressing style, honoring the Spyker Squadron. Talking about the limited edition models, the exterior of the first will show up in Jet Black color and Crimson Red accents. Whereas the second will feature Jet Black accents in the Crimson Red exterior. Hence the third can be seen to have golden flourishes in the Jet Black paint. However, the unique styling of the Spyker C8 Aileron will also continue in the interior of the cars. The cabin will feature custom leather seats in accordance with the exterior color of the car. Uniqueness continues as the drivers will find turned dashboard of aluminum, exposed gearshift, and Chronoswiss gauges.
Moreover, the company has decided to keep the engine specifications same. Thus all the three cars of the Spyker C8 Aileron will get its power from a supercharged 4.2-liter V8 engine. It will develop 386 kW (525 PS) and 442 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque. Since a six-speed automatic transmission is attached to the engine, so it is expected to speed up 0-100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds. However, the top speed of the cars will be 200 mph (322 km/h). However, Victor Muller, CEO of Spyker, opened up on the departure of Spyker C8 Aileron. He said that each Spyker bears with an exclusive and unique styling. But the Spyker C8 Aileron’s last three cars will show up the bespoke craftsmanship level of the Spyker brand. Thus, he considers it to be a noble departure of the Spyker C8 Aileron getting powered by Audi. Hence, he also added saying that it is a meaningful step focusing towards Spyker C8 Preliator, Spyker’s third generation.
