In Spain there is not much snow. There is not enough white stuff in the right place to indulge again in snowy stage for the local rallyists. A team of Spanish RC enthusiast has made a winter rallying wonderland for them at one to eight scale. They have made a big slot car track so that they can race its rally spec cars. It has full of crossovers, jumps, tricky hairpins and covered with fake snow. It looks like some kind of flour based powder.
No matter what it is but the snow definitely creates a proper representation of real vehicle dynamics in these slippery conditions. It’s really surprising. The vehicles slide all over the place. The operators have to be careful when they apply the power. This slot seems to guide the vehicles unlike a conventional slot car track. The cars have adapted RCs along with its own power on-board units driving the wheels. Here there are all types of vehicles.
The odd Ford Focus WRC, loads of Subarus predictably and a smattering healthy Group B machinery such as Ford RS200 and Peugeot 205 T16. There are also a BMW 635CSi touring car, Porsche 911 and an AE86 Toyota Corolla. We wonder that how much effort and time it took to build the track and cars. But it’s really amazing. Usually the group races the RC drift cars. They are really good. They have even taken it out on its special blend of fake snow.
