The high riding Skoda Kodiaq has finally made its official debut in Berlin at a fancy event. It seems Skoda Kodiaq is going to do really well in the SUV market. The vehicle is 4.7 meters long. It is also quite practical and roomy. The cargo capacity varies from 25.4 cubic feet to 73 cubic feet once you fold the rear seats. The company says buyers will be able to carry items up to 110.2 inches long. There will be an option for electronically operated tailgate as well.
The interior of Skoda Kodiaq is said to be clever and spacious. You can choose from three infotainment systems. These include a 6.5 inch Bolero setup. It comes with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and SmartLink integration. If you are willing to pay more, you can get the 8 inch Amundsen. You will be provided with navigation and a display mode while going off road. Then there comes the Columbus. It is the high end version of the infotainment systems. This is going to offer 64 GB flash memory, WLAN hotspot functionality. There will be an option of LTE module as well.
There are lots of engine options for the Skoda Kodiaq. The entry level Kodiaq will have a TSI unit of 1.4 liter. The setup produces 125 hp and 147 lb ft of torque. There will be a more powerful version. It will generate 150 hp and 184 lb ft of torque. People willing to have more gasoline power can spend more and avail the TSI unit of 2.0 liter. It will generate 180 hp and 236 lb ft of torque. In case of diesel, the TDI unit of 2.0 liter is available. It will offer 190 hp and 295 lb ft of torque and 150 hp and 251 lb ft of torque flavors.
