Skoda has officially dropped teaser images of their new Kodiaq GT. This compact crossover coupe is interpreted from regular Kodiaq. When Skoda Kodiaq GT hits the market, it will be bound for China. Three teaser images of the Skoda Kodiaq GT have been revealed and give us the glimpse of side, rear and interior. It has sloping roofline near the rear which indirectly affects the boot space. It will be slotted above Kodiaq, Karoq, and Kamiq. Apart from few official sketches, nothing has been revealed about this compact crossover coupe. Nonetheless, rendering images reveals that couple of extra lights slotted under the main headlights.
Few other noticeable features in the Skoda Kodiaq GT include GT moniker on the front doors, chrome detailing, angled taillight with “Skoda” lettering in between the taillights, two round exhaust pipes and a set of large wheels. Judging by the first looks, dimensions of the Skoda Kodiaq GT seems similar to the regular Kodiaq including wheelbase. However, it is shorter by 2.5 inch, 1.06 inch lower and 0.04 inch narrower. Ideally, it would be able to accommodate five people easily. Overall design of the interior remains same, but coupe will have some new touches such as sports seats, and more customization options.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that official debut of Skoda Kodiaq GT will take place at 2018 Chengdu Auto Show. Sale of this vehicle will commence by the end of this year. Power in the Skoda Kodiaq GT is reportedly derived from 2.0 liter turbocharged petrol engine with two outputs which are 186hp and 200hp respectively. The engine will be mated with dual-clutch seven-speed automatic transmission. Higher trims would get all-wheel drive whereas other would get all-wheel drive.
