Skoda has taken the lid off the all-new Koraq in a special event in Swedish capital. Skoda Karoq is slotted under the much popular Kodiaq but is quite stylish. It has sculpted hood, slender grille, and optional LED headlights. Apart from the mentioned stylish cues, it also possesses plastic body cladding, chiseled bodywork, muscular wheel arches, distinct taillights, tailgate mounted spoilers, and range of wheel sizes from 16 inches to 19 inches. The length of Skoda Karoq is 14.3 feet, 6 feet wide and 5.2 feet tall. The wheelbase stands at 6.2 feet.
There is nothing special features present in the Skoda Karoq, but one of the most important features which we need to mention is digital instrument cluster. Customers can also opt for optional heated steering wheel, heated front and rear seats, and LED ambient light. Wireless smartphone charger is also provided along with infotainment system which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Space conscious customers would be happy to know that the cargo capacity stands at 521 liters. When the rear seats are folded down, the cargo capacity increases to 1,630 liters.
The most talked about the Skoda Karoq is its five different engine options. The 1.0 liter TSI engine produces an output of 113 horsepower and 175 Nm of torque. The 1.5 liter TSI engine produces an output of 148 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. 1.6 liter TDI engine gives 113 horsepower of output and 250 Nm of torque. Another is the 2.0 liter TDI engine which produces an output of 148 horsepower and 340 Nm of torque. Lastly, 2.0 liter TDI engine which produces 187 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. The engine can be mated with six-speed manual or seven-speed DSG transmission. The powerful diesel variant is expected to come with all-wheel drive and DSG gearbox.
