Few weeks back, we got our eyes on Rimac C_Two at Monterey Car Week. However, it was quite different from what we saw in Geneva and it was indeed a special edition dubbed as California C_Two. What made it special was the inclusion of bright blue exterior and new set of wheels. Till now, we haven’t had the opportunity to take a closer look at the Rimac C_Two. Thankfully, we got a video from Aaron Palos who made a stop at Ferrari of Denver where this electric hypercar was on display. After watching the complete video, you will be more than eager to see production version of this amazing hypercar.
As a refresher, Rimac C_Two is powered with four electric motors for each wheel and works in conjugation with software-controlled torque vectoring. Combined output of Rimac C_Two is 1,888hp and 2,300Nm of torque. With the help of 120kWh battery, range of this electric vehicle is 650km according to NEDC. This electric hypercar is able to accelerate from 0 to 60mph in 1.85 whereas for 0-100mph it is 1.97 seconds. Top speed of Rimac C_Two is claimed to be 285mph. Only 150 units of this electric hypercar will be manufactured and all the models have already been spoken for even with the price tag of $2.1 million.
Rimac C_Two seems to be of small size but is spacious on the inside. Upon closer inspection, there is face recognition camera on the outside in place of traditional key fob. So, when someone walks near the car camera tries to recognize the person and when it recognizes doors will be opened. There is another camera installed behind the wheels and if match is perfect systems are energized for the driver. It needs to be seen if it recognizes the person in long beard. We will know all about Rimac C_Two when it officially hits the road by 2020. Watch the attached video and tell us what you think about this technology most advanced car.
