The all new Renault Megane RS broke its cover at the concluded Frankfurt Motor Show just few months back. At that point of time we didn’t know much about it, but now the company has revealed its specifications and pricing details. It will certainly bring interest of many European customers. The base price of Renault Megane RS starts from €37,600 and they will be getting their hands on manual gear shifter. If customers are interested in opting for dual-clutch version then they will have to shell out an extra amount that culminates into €39,400.
All the aforementioned prices are for Sport chassis and are mentioned as base price. If one adds Cup Pack, then they will be getting limited slip differential, stiffer suspension and striking red Brembo brake calipers. The cost of this package is additional €1,500. There are many essentials that include 19 inch alloys, Alcantara trim and special yellow or orange paint. The prices of them are €1,000, €1,500 and €1,600 respectively. However, this is just the beginning as there are many electronic gadgets inside it like Bose audio for €600, RS Monitor for €250 or RS Monitor Expert system for €450, and head-up display for €400.
The new Renault Megane RS will pack its punch through turbo 1.8 liter four-engine that gives an output of 280 horsepower and four-wheel steering. It is first of its kind for this segment (five-door segment). The hardware helps the Renault Megane RS to accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just 5.8 seconds. The deliveries of Megane RS DCT version will begin from February and manual version will arrive from spring.
