Qoros is a Shanghai based Chinese-Israeli car maker. They have unveiled K EV concept car at Auto Shanghai. Consumers nowadays are much more interested in electric sedans, and Qoros wants to jump on the bandwagon too. Qoros K EV concept car is developed with the help of Koenigsegg. Qoros K EV concept car will be fully electric and won’t be using internal combustion engine. They will use four electric motors and one for each wheel. Last year, Koenigsegg sister company FreeValve announced their partnership with Qoros in the development of Pneumatic-Hydraulic-Electric-Actuator (PHEA) technology.
The PHEA technology will give greater control over the engine intake and exhaust valve and do away with the standard camshaft. Qoros K EV concept car is said to have an output of 870 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 2.7 seconds. It will have a top speed of 162 mph and have a mileage of 300 miles on a single charge. The stats look promising for sure and would certainly give stiff competition to mid-2 seconds future electric sedans. The exterior of the Qoros K EV concept car is unique as the elements under the hood can be seen clearly.
Vertical headlights and air takes in the front bumpers will also catch your eyes. The glass rear door slides backwards just like an MPV whereas the driver door is gullwing and passenger’s doors open traditionally. You can see all these mentioned features in the images. The interior of the Qoros K EV has a bold look especially the carbon fiber of the monocoque. Large infotainment system is present on the dashboard alongside a third screen in center console which showcases vehicle functionalities and controls.
