Last month, Porsche unveiled design of all-electric Taycan sedan. Judging by the first look, it resembles a quite like the Porsche Mission E Concept from the year 2015. Later, the Italian luxury automaker showed official camouflage version of Taycan that gave us a glimpse of the performance electric vehicle. Thankfully, we have new set of images of Porsche Taycan from Taycan Forum. They shed more lights on design of headlights and taillights. Even though the automaker has applied few stickers around the light units to disguise the shape, we get a pretty idea what the finished product will look like.
What the spy photo of Porsche Taycan reveals is the close resemblance with Mission E Concept. Headlights are recessed and have similar signature but they have included a transparent cover as opposed to the concept version. The concept featured individual elements with no cover. With respect to the taillights, it also similarity with the Mission E concept. However, there are hints of new 911 that can be found on Taycan. Apart from front and rear lights, the spy photos also revealed final shape of the front and rear bumpers along with tiny rear side windows and rear fenders. Bumper looks aggressive and because of sharp splitter at the front and a massive diffuser at the rear.
Porsche has discarded fake exhaust tips from rear fascia. Porsche Taycan looks muscular and sports Porsche Carbon Ceramic Brakes; thus, we could be seeing range-topping Turbo version. Official debut for Porsche Taycan is set for September and deliveries will commence by the end of the year. More than 20,000 have already placed reservation without seeing the finished product. Report suggest that Taycan Turbo is able to accelerate from 0-62mph in under 3.5 seconds. Driving range according to NEDC standards in 311 miles.
