It is a known fact that production of Porsche 911 and 718 models are capped at 25,000 units annually. It may sound logical to many that there would many identical units rolling out of the factory, but this is not the case. This news was disclosed by Christian Friedl who is Porsche plant manager while talking with Autocar. He revealed that German auto manufacturer only produced two identical 911 and 718 models annually. This gives us a clear indication of personalization options Porsche is offering for the buyers.
Moreover, there are around 39 variants of the 911 and 718 Boxster/Cayman models currently in the market. It enables customer to pickup their perfect ride no matter what their requirements are, thus, several permutation and combinations comes into the picture which is not easy to count. This is the just the beginning as Christian Friedl stated that company is planning to launch even more options for its lineup. There is a strong probability that every single car rolling out of production will have distinct from each other.
Porsche 718 range has been updated with introduction of Boxster Spyder and Cayman GT4. Both of them features high-rev naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine that pumps out 414hp and 420 Nm of torque. These models are driver focused model and hence offers an exclusive with a six-speed manual transmission that transfer power to the rear wheels. Porsche Exclusive recently astonished us with a new Boxster Spyder that showcased a dark blue exterior with several custom touches. We are confident that Porsche will introduce many bespoke examples in future.
