For the first time in story, Porsche Classic has recommissioned the privately-owned Carrera GT. This particular Porsche Carrera GT is meant for only lucky customer and was revealed by RM Sotheby’s. The major difference between this Porsche Carrera GT and other Carrera GT is the Oak Green Metallic exterior paint scheme. This special paint scheme was introduced by Porsche way back in 1978 as a non-metallic color. It was revised in early 1990s and was made metallic. It may remain as unique color but can be found on Porsche 911 R and Porsche 911 GT3.
Color of Porsche Carrera GT from factory was quite limited and excludes rare paint to sample shades that were limited to two different blacks, two shades of silver, Fayence Yellow, and Guards Red. Judging by the first look, we hoped that this should have been the only color scheme available on Carrera GT. Apart from fresh paint scheme, Porsche Classic also incorporated a pair of bespoke wheels with matte gold spokes and chrome accents on Carrera GT. The same gold has been applied on the cylinder heads. To complete the upgrades, fresh wine red metallic leather with black and grey inserts can be found too.
Porsche Classic Carrera GT sits on set of golden magnesium wheels designed to emulate the BBS racing wheels. At this point of time, we don’t know this owner managed to convince Porsche Classis to work on this Carrera GT. Either way; this project won’t be cheap by a long distance. The power in the Porsche Carrera GT is derived from naturally-aspirated 5.7 liter V10 engine that is rated at 603hp and 435lb-ft of torque. If anyone is interested in seeing this particular Porsche Carrera GT in flesh should visit Porsche Experience Center Atlanta.
