Prancing Horse has already showcased 911 Coupe at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show, now they are putting final touches to the cabriolet version. First images of lightly veiled Porsche 911 Cabriolet was spotted on the streets of Germany and judging by the look, the premiere is quite near. It might happen at next month’s Detroit Auto Show or few months later at Geneva. The test vehicles potted had camouflage that covers corners of the taillights and center section. Nonetheless, we are already familiar with what Porsche had to offer.
Camo can also be found on rear bumper which is present to hide the designation. Rest of the exterior is completely naked and seems exactly what we expect. Design of the Porsche 911 Cabriolet incorporates styling of the last generation which we already saw. Canvas roof complements the new aesthetic perfectly. Official date of debut for Porsche 911 Cabriolet has not been revealed as of yet. With respect to pricing, Porsche 911 Cabriolet will have premium price tag than coupe. We are expecting the price to begin in region of $113,000 in United States.
Porsche 911 Cabriolet will be powered with twin-turbo six-cylinder 3.0 liter engine that also powers the coupe. The engine is expected to offer around 443hp and 530Nm of torque and performance of convertible should match with coupe. With Sport Chrono package, it will be able to accelerate from 0-62mph in 3.2 seconds and reaches top speed of 190mph. Since, it has fixed roof, performance will be little bit on the slower side. We have attached images of the Porsche 911 Cabriolet for closer inspection.
