Polestar is preparing to showcase their second model dubbed as “2”. But, before that they have released a teaser of the vehicle that showcases it from the top. The teaser was spotted from official mobile app which allows users to explore features of Android-based HMI infotainment system which will be equipped in the car. The teaser shows couple of angular creases on the hood and a large panoramic roof. The teaser image of Polestar 2 also gives us a preview of the LED lighting units where rear light units are joined together by a light strip.
Polestar 2 Four-Door Coupe is equipped with emission free powertrain which will take on Tesla Model 3. According to Polestar, the engine powertrain offers an output of 395hp (294 kW/ 400 PS). The battery pack helps the Polestar 2 Four-Door Coupe to travel 300 miles on a single charge. No official date is set for debut, but we expect to make its debut at 2019 Geneva Motor Show considering it will open in gates in few weeks. With respect to Android-based HMI infotainment system, Polestar claims to have world’s first future-proof software setup.
This system is always connected to internet and is able to receive over-the-air updates similar to smartphone’s and tablets app. It will have services and technologies which buyers are quite familiar with such as Google Maps and Google Assistant. It has been designed to offer optimal performance and thus, features four-tile grid system instead of collapsible menu.
