Production-ready Pininfarina Battista Electric Hypercar was launched in North America on 16th April by the company. It was done during an exclusive event at Studio 525 in Chelsea at NYC. Surprisingly, Pininfarina had no intention of taking part in New York Auto Show. However, the company claimed that Battista Electric Hypercar will arrive in US by late 2020. They further disclosed that their second model which is a SUV codenamed as PF1 would make its debut at 2019 Monterey Car Week. On the eve of New York Auto Show, Pininfarina showed first production model of Battista Electric Hypercar.
Only 150 units of Pininfarina Battista Electric Hypercar will be made. The supercar features a Grigio Luserna satin-grey carbon paint with Blu Iconica design accents. Michael Perschke, Pininfarina’s CEO said that arrival of Battista at New York is a proud moment for the entire team. They can now finally bring next generation of hypercars to discerning customers throughout North America. Pininfarina Automotive are confident that US buyers would fall in love with ultra-high-performance electric vehicles. The Pininfarina Battista Electric Hypercar will be delivered to North American by late 2020.
Despite being priced at $2.25 million, more than half of the allocation has already been reserved through Automobili Pininfarina’s network of six specialist luxury car retailers. These retailers are situated in Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco, Toronto, and Vancouver. Pininfarina Battista is first electric car from the company and is most powerful car to be built and designed in Italy. Combined output of the Battista hypercar is 1,900hp and 2,297 Nm of torque thanks to four electric motors present at each wheel. Energy is sourced from 120 kWh battery which helps the car to sprint from 0-60mph in under 2 seconds. Driving range is estimated around 300 miles on a single charge.
