Pininfarina is celebrating its British debut of electric hypercar Battista at Goodwood Members Meeting. Pininfarina Battista made its debut at last month’s Geneva Motor Show and was dubbed as luxurious electric hyper performance GT. Its performance specifications are mind boggling to say the least. Power in the electric hypercar comes from four electric motors that offers a combined output of 1,874hp (1,900 PS) and 2,300 Nm of torque. The setup helps the Pininfarina Battista to accelerate from 0-62mph in under 2 seconds and 0-186mph in less than 12 seconds. Top speed is also impressive and stands at more than 217mph.
Battery in Pininfarina Battista is sourced from Rimac and has capacity of 120 kWh and on a single charge it can travel approximately 300 miles. Apart from being impressive powertrain, Pininfarina claims that Battista would be appealing to ultra-luxury buyers. First deliveries of this luxurious electric hypercar would begin few months before the commencement of Greater London becoming Ultra Low Emissions Zone in 2021. Buyers of this vehicle won’t have a problem in paying £12.50 for driving less eco-friendly vehicle.
Michael Perschke, Automobili Pininfarina said in a statement that Battista is a “truly beautiful, guilt-free hypercar – the first EV to really fall in love with – because electricity enables us to develop it with zero emissions and as the most powerful car that will have ever been designed and built in Italy”. Production of the Pininfarina Battista will be limited to 150 units. Prospective UK buyers can place their order at H.R. Owen in London or Rybrook in the British Midlands.
