When it comes to supercar one name that pops out on a regular basis is the Pagani Huayra Roadster. It won’t be surprising that Pagani is planning to introduce soft-top version of this supercar. For that they have collaborated with Italian company by the name of Dainese. Dainese is renowned for making high-end equipment of motorcyclist. They somehow managed to create a new material altogether for Huayra Roadster. Pagani Huayra Roadster is reportedly lighter than the coupe version because of the usage of carbon fiber and soft-top.
We can only assume that developing carbon fiber is difficult and soft-top is manageable but it will consume lot of time. Nonetheless, Dainese and Pagani were inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci’s flying machine. This led to the creation of complicated and innovative soft-top. The developed top uses High Elastic Modulus Carbon Fiber. This material is developed by Pagani and is held together by aluminum and titanium billet joints. It helps in stretching the fabric developed by Dainese. All these may sound tempting and complicated to many and we will simply it.
Dainese R&D Department along with Pagani managed to create such a fabric that is the perfect combination of resistance and flexibility in every aspect. In simpler terms, it helps the fabric to have particular folding areas which follows the structure to the hilt. Other than matching the Pagani Huayra Roadster stunning design, the company also claims that it will reduce the space for the purpose of stowing that helps in durability. With a price tag of $2.5 million on Pagani Huayra Roadster, it is hard not to see roof, especially soft-top. Pagani Huayra Roadster with soft-top will be displayed at 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
