Rolls Royce is celebrating 115 years of automotive luxury with a bespoke Red Phantom commission. Red Phantom was first teased in New York City at Sotheby’s Galleries and it will be offered at an exclusive online auction launching on 4th December and ends on 13th December. Proceed from the auction will be given to (RED) global charity and its fight to end AIDS. Red Rolls Royce Phantom is style by Bespoke Design Collective in Goodwood, England. This one-off model will feature a special Crystal over Magma Red Exterior with particles of crystal captured in the final layers of finish.
This finish consists of five layers and each of them hand-polished for more than five hours. Inside of Rolls Royce Phantom has handcrafted Bespoke leather interior that feature a color scheme of Arctic White with Mugello Red highlights. British automaker uses 9 hides on hand selected and drum dyed leather to create the interior. Moreover, there is also wood veneers finished by hand with six coats of lacquer and Mugello Red Shooting Starlight Headliner which has 1,600 fiber optic lights that extends the entire length of the interior.
Dashboard features a Bespoke Mugello Red leather design dubbed as “Regatta Sails” assembled in a clean room environment. Steering wheel and stalks are covered in red leather and can also be found throughout the lavish cabin. To mark the occasion of 115th Anniversary of Rolls Royce Motor Cars, custom tread plates are installed. This Bespoke Rolls Royce Phantom will be revealed at a gala event at the One Thousand Museum in Miami on 4th December. On this date, RM Sotheby’s will also launch exclusive online auction. Winning bidder will get an opportunity to collaborate with contemporary artist Mickalene Thomas. He will create a custom wrap for the exterior which will be based on original work of art inspired by Red Phantom.
