Nissan Juke shows off its 360° dash cam for adventurous junkies

Automakers are trying trick in their book to lure in more and more customers. Some of them are just a showcase whereas some of them are actually useful. Nissan revealed its new JukeCam and it falls between the two mentioned categories. It will be helpful for those customers who are outdoorsy. This 360° dash cam is embedded on the dashboard. This dash cam can be used to record the driver’s journey for insurance purpose and has the 3 hours of recording capacity. Nissan Juke isn’t the first one to come with dash cam. Citroën C3 has one too and is known as “ConnectedCAM”.

However, Nissan Juke 360° dash cam stands out because it is world’s first 360° camera with 4K capability. It can be detached too and used as action camera just like GoPro. It makes Nissan Juke the first production car to have this feature. The dash cam has been developed with the collaboration with 360fly, who makes 360° cameras. To popularize the JukeCam, a video was shot with this camera which made Guinness World Record for Most Consecutive Cars Jumped Over on a Pogo Stick. Dalton Smith of Xpogo jumped over three Nissan Juke with just a single bounce between them.

Nissan is also using the event to showcases its new Juke Envy special edition for British market. This version of Juke will have N-Connecta trim and comes with 18 inch of alloy wheels and few additional tweaks in the interior. It will be available in 115 hp gasoline engine or 120 hp diesel engine. The pricing of this model will start from £19,045. The new Nissan Juke is expected to hit the market by 2018.
