The new Vantage Roadster is just around the corner and it seems that Aston Martin will reveal the model quite soon. In an interview to Car Advice in Australia, Chief Creative Officer of Aston Martin Marek Reichman said that they have completed work on the new drop top model. He further stated that they are ready and waiting and they will showcase it by the end of year. Currently, Aston Martin Vantage Roadster is going through final testing, but it’s all done. The news of Aston Martin Vantage Roadster is not that shocking as British automaker follows convertible version after introducing coupe.
Previous version of Aston Martin Vantage Roadster incorporated soft-top and the successor is expected to use same solution in spite of popularity of hard-top. When Aston Martin Vantage Roadster finally arrives, it will be powered with Mercedes-AMG sourced engine twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine. It offers an output of 503hp and 685 Nm of torque. Engine works in conjugation with eight-speed ZF automatic transmission that helps Vantage Roadster to accelerate from 0 to 62mph in 3.5 seconds. Since, it is convertible, it will come with added weightage and thus, would be slower to cover by couple of tenths.
Apart from this V8 powered Aston Martin Vantage Roadster, there is another model which is highly anticipated by many fans across the world. The model we are talking about is V12 powered Roadster. Car Advice asked the same to Marek Reichman and he just laughed at the proposal and that it is a good idea.
