Production of Mitsubishi Pajero is coming to an end in Japan and the company has already broke this news in the month of August. To celebrate this iconic SUV run for amazing 37 years, Pajero Final Edition has been introduced. Only 700 units of Mitsubishi Pajero Final Edition will be made available for buyers. Mitsubishi Pajero Final Edition is based on Pajero Exceed and features additional standard equipment such as sunroof and roof rails. Buyers can also order Final Edition Accessory Package that consist of a rear spoiler, a spare tire cover and mud flaps with Pajero badging.
The cabin of Mitsubishi Pajero Final Edition is equipped with power front seats, leather upholstery and illuminated “Final Edition” sill plates. Power in the Pajero Final Edition is derived from four-cylinder 3.2-liter diesel engine. It offers an output of 187 horsepower (190 PS / 140 kW) and 441 Nm of torque. The engine is mated with five-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive system with a locking rear differential. Price of Mitsubishi Pajero Final Edition will start from ¥4,530,600 (£31,305, €36,217, $40,512) and includes 8% consumption tax. Buyers would also get special stickers and a Mitsubishi-branded watch from Citizen.
Even though the road for Mitsubishi Pajero has ended in Japan, automaker promised that Pajero and Pajero Sport will be available in other markets. Mitsubishi Pajero will remain in production for handful of markets such as Middle East and Australia. Nonetheless, Mitsubishi UK stated that there is no specific time limit for that. Mitsubishi hasn’t planned a direct replacement for it as of yet.
