Mercedes-Benz EQA Concept goes for scenic drive of Sicily

In the highly competitive world of electric vehicles, Mercedes-Benz will commence deliveries of all-electric C-segment vehicles in next few years. Mercedes-Benz EQA Concept was previewed last year at Frankfurt Auto Show. Currently, it is under development and in an attempt to promote it, a fully functional EQA Concept was taken to the beautiful countryside of Sicily. EQA Concept vehicle runs without any problem. Its futuristic design is a perfect setting for rugged coastline that is found on the island. If you are one of those who doesn’t like electric vehicle, this concept will certainly make you look at it.

The powertrain specifications of this Mercedes-Benz EQA Concept have not been finalized for the production version. Nonetheless, it will have more than 270hp and will be made available with all-wheel drive system. 60kWH battery incorporated in it will give this concept a range of around 248 miles. We already know that the production of Mercedes-Benz EQA Concept will be held in Hambach, France. Last month, Dieter Zetsche who is Chief of Mercedes-Benz Cars and Chairman of the Board of Management at Daimler AG met with Emmanuel Macron regarding the production. This is the first time in the 100 years long history, that Mercedes-Benz is bringing production to France.

Mercedes-Benz EQA Concept is the second vehicle from the EQ brand. The first one was EQC electric crossover and will be built in Bremen plant in Germany. More than eight vehicles will be joining the EQ family by the year 2022 that includes Smart models and large SUVs. Earlier, it was reported that Mercedes-Benz EQA Concept comprise of two electric motors and will feature company’s evolutionary Sensual Purity design language.
