If you are not family with Mercedes-Benz EQ then let us remind you what it is all about. It is battery powered electric vehicle range by the German auto manufacturer. The first model which was showcased at Paris Motor Show was in the year 2016 and it was Generation EQ Concept. Mercedes-Benz plans to produce 10 EQ models by 2025. It is reported that a sedan will join the Mercedes-Benz EQ family. The size of sedan would be similar to that of C-Class. There are few reports that suggest that German automaker will electrify the C-Class.
Nonetheless, this report was squashed by chief engineer Christian Frueh while speaking to Autocar. A bespoke sedan will join the Mercedes-Benz EQ range along with EQ A Hatch and EQ C SUV. A large electric sedan will make up the Mercedes-Benz EQ rather than an electric version of S-Class. All the vehicles in EQ range will be built on Modular Electric Architecture (MRA). Its design cues will be different from the hybrid and internal combustion engine models. At this point if time, all these are just rumours and more can be confirmed when revelation nears.
The first model from the EQ range will be EQ C SUV. The size would be quite similar to that of GLC but its design aspect will be inspired from the Concept. EQ C SUV winter testing is already concluded in Northern Sweden. When it finally arrives in market it will have a range of 310 miles. The production of C SUV will begin from 2019. For now admire the attached images and tell us what you think about it.
