Mercedes-AMG Project One steals the thunder from CLS at LA Auto Show

Mercedes-Benz CLS may be most talked about car at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show. However, Mercedes-AMG Project One managed to steal the thunder from it without any fuzz. It was already showcased at Frankfurt and Tokyo motor show and finally it arrives at the City of Angels. This is a two-seater hypercar which mesmerized everyone with its amazing design and performance. Under the hood, Project One comes with four-electric motor that is combined with high revolution 1.6 liter V6 engine. The engine is derived from Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1.

The overall output of Mercedes-AMG Project One is more than 1,000 horsepower and it takes less than 6 seconds to reach an acceleration of 124mph from stagnant position. The current Bugatti Chiron takes around 6.1 seconds while the McLaren P1 takes 6.8 seconds. The top speed of this true beauty can reach more than 210 mph. It is a rare vehicle and hence, only limited vehicles will be produced.

If you are one of those who own one of the 275 units then they shouldn’t worried about equipment list. The F1 technology is present inside the vehicle but still there are no comprises made in the inside. The interior comprises of air conditioning and Comand infotainment system. The screen will replace the rear view mirror and it improves rear visibility. Nonetheless, Mercedes-Benz CLS is a beautiful car but it cannot compete against Project One.
