One of the most powerful Mercedes-AMG GT R has been revealed till date by a tuning company called Posaidon. Stock Mercedes-AMG GT R comes with twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine that generates 585hp and 700 Nm of torque. Posaison managed to bump up the output to a massive 880 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque. It enables the sports car to sprint 0-62mph in just 2.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 360 kph.
Major reasons for this massive bump in output are two bespoke ball-bearing turbochargers, forged high-performance pistons and sports air filters. Posaidon has also upgraded the fuel pumps, included new spark plus, replaced the manifold and installed new downpipes with sports catalysts and rounded everything out with some ECU tuning. Even though these changes are incorporated in GT-R, but Posaidon is offering same upgrade for lesser models such as AMG GT, GTS and GT C. All these models feature same engine but with different states of tune.
This tuning upgrade for GT-R is quite refreshing, but thankfully Posaidon has made any changes to the exterior. Unlike other cases, tuner hasn’t included new exterior panels to provide any hints to onlookers about superior performance upgrade. If you put this tuner version of Mercedes-AMG GT R along with stock version, it would be difficult to set them apart. Posaidon managed to keep it discrete even after upgrading it to massive power bump. We have attached few images of the tuned GT-R, try to spot any difference with the standard version.
