We have already mesmerized by the new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe. If anyone thinks that they would be content with just three variants then there is good news for them. It is reported that Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe will be available in hybrid form by the year 2020. This news was hinted by their Chief Tobias Moers at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. AutomobileMag reports that AMG GT 4 plug-in hybrid will arrive in couple of years, if everything goes according to their plan.
For AMG, hybrid is a performance hybrid and it offers full freedom to ride it in pure electric form. Even when the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe hybrid is on the race track, it won’t be losing any state of charge or energy in the battery. It would easily run from lap to lap without any hiccup. Their staffs are working on it and it is their plan. To refresh your memory, Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe comes with 4Matic all-wheel drive system. There are other possibilities in it which might be rear-wheel drive, just like the two-door variant of GT 4.
It is built upon Mercedes-AMG E63 Estate and the underpinning chassis has been reinforced to cope with extra power. GT 4-Door Coupe is ready to hit the dealership soon and will be available for order this summer. Customers can choose from regular and S designation. The first one churns out 576 horsepower and 800Nm of torque. The second one gives an output of 630 horsepower and 900Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 3. 4 seconds whereas the latter one takes just 3.2 seconds. It has the top speed of 195mph.
