There seems to be no requirement for power upgrade in McLaren Senna. Nonetheless, Hennessey Performance is doing exactly that with their HPE1000 performance kit. This kit comprises of upgraded turbochargers, high-flow wastegate, intercooler, high-flow air filters, stainless steel turbo headers, a Motec engine management system and a stainless-steel exhaust. Moreover, the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission is upgraded to manage with extra power that comes from the 4.0-liter V8 unit. Now, the main question arises how much power did Hennessey Performance is offering.
The tuning company haven’t released any official performance figures as of yet. However, the moniker HPE1000 Performance kit suggest that it would be in region of 1,000 horsepower. It is an increment of 211hp over stock version of McLaren Senna. As per official record, McLaren Senna is able to sprint 0 to 62mph in 2.8 seconds and reaches a maximum top speed of 208 mph. Apart from HPE1000 Performance kit, Texas based tuning company is also offering HPE900 Performance kit. As the name suggest it offers same upgrade but it is less “restrained”.
Buyers opting for any of these performance kits will get “Hennessey” and “HPE900 or HPE1000” decals on the outside. There would also be a serial numbered dashboard plaque inside and another one in the engine compartment. HPE900 kits comes with 3-year or 36,000 miles warranty, whichever comes first. Since, this is a standard package we are assuming the same would be available on HPE1000. Internal testing is still pending and after that Hennessey will come with official performance figure along with gallery.
