There are also bespoke 30th anniversary laurels behind the side windows and discreet branding to acknowledge multiple McLaren technical partners. It comprises of past and present partners.
McLaren P1 GTR is dubbed as “Beco” which was Aryton Senna’s nickname used by his parents. There are additional external modifications on McLaren P1 GTR such as aero features which increase downforce to around 800kg. To achieve this deed, new front dive planes were added along with a wider front splitter, a Gurney flap and new barge boards to better channel airflow along the sides of the car. At the rear, bigger endplates can be found that mimics MP4/4’s wing. Multifunctional steering wheel is covered with Alcantara whose stitching matches with wheels of MP4/4. Alcantara can also be found on fascia cover panel, Senna branding on steering wheel with thin red stripe running across the door panels and dash. Seats use the same Super Lightweight Racing Seats which was developed for McLaren Senna that makes this particular P1 GTR even lighter. Lastly, bespoke crash helmet complements livery of the P1 GTR.
