During last month’s Geneva Motor Show, McLaren dropped teaser of the new Grand Tourer. Now, it has returned with alluring official shots. We must point out that it is covered in heavy camo but has revealed shape along with additional body panels which was earlier not visible from the silhouette. Hence, we can now appreciate a lot about for the first time of the McLaren Grand Tourer. The McLaren Grand Tourer is not an official name but has all the components to become company’s best-looking car.
The first image of the front end reveals sleek new headlights which is inspired by the McLaren logo which is no longer present in recent cars. Aesthetics of the McLaren Grand Tourer is elegant and is evident by the flowing design which befits a McLaren. Additionally, one can also spot aggressively-cut front bumper, massive side air intakes for the mid-mounted twin-turbo V8 engine, and a long rear section that ends with two illuminated stripes. These stripes act as car’s taillights, two round exhausts, and a vented bumper with a diffuser.
McLaren has announced that the car would be coming without camouflage in the month of May. As usually, no official information is provided regarding the McLaren Grand Tourer but is described by the company as ground breaking and most usable mid-engine car. It will share its DNA with Speedtail Hyper-GT and the interior will be spacious, uncluttered and modern with authentic and high-quality material usage. Now that camouflage is dropped, it will begin its validation testing that includes 1,600km drive near company’s development base in Barcelona.
