Few days back, McLaren 600LT made its debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed amidst fanfare. Now, if you are thinking of owning it then you better get saving some money as it won’t be cheap. The price of McLaren 600LT in US is set at $240,000. It is latest member of their entry-level “Sports Series”. It is based on 570S but the package offers lot more. Just like 570S, McLaren 600LT is also powered with same twin-turbo 3.8 liter V8 engine. However, the version of Longtail offers 592hp and 620Nm of torque instead of 562hp and 601Nm.
Curb weight of McLaren 600LT has been toned down to 1,247kg from 1,356kg. With this weight loss, it can accelerate from 0-60mph in just 2.8 seconds. To cover quarter-mile, it takes 10.4 seconds before hitting the top speed of 204mph. These figures give McLaren 600LT an edge over the 570S with respect of raw performance, but behind the formidable next-level Sports Series 720S. The pricing is quite appropriate as McLaren 570S starts from $191,100 whereas McLaren 720S starts from $288,845. If we compare the price with its respective competitors, it falls between Porsche 911 GT3 RS ($187,500) and GT2 RS ($293,200).
The pricing is fairly split between the base and Performante version of Lamborghini Huracan. The cost of owning it is also quite close to Ferrari 488 GTB ($256,550) and Portofino ($214,553). Customers can also opt for additional package for McLaren 600LT and it will increase the pricing of it. Package such as MSO Clubsport pack is priced at $29,370 (all-in cost $269,370). On the other hand, Clubsport Pro is priced at $34,600 ($274,600). Both these packages include carbon fiber racing buckets, along with light-weight alloy wheels.
