McLaren has realised the performance figures along with other details of the new 600LT. It is set to world debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed. McLaren 600LT claims to be fastest, powerful and most capable road-legal model from the Sport Series. The curb weight of McLaren 600LT has been reduced by 96kg if compared 570S. The power in McLaren 600LT comes from revised twin-turbo 3.8 liter V8 unit that offers 592 horsepower and 620Nm of torque. It is able to accelerate from 0 to 60mph in just 2.8 seconds and it matches with the 675LT. The top speed of 600LT is set at 204mph. The order for McLaren 600LT is now open but is subject to availability. The price of 600LT in UK starts from £185,000.
At the Nurburgring track, it managed to sprint 0-124mph in 8.2 seconds that makes it quicker than the formidable Ferrari 488 GTB by 0.2 seconds. One of the most noticeable aspects of the McLaren 600LT is the amazing top-exit exhaust that decreases back pressure. For those who don’t know, McLaren 600LT is the newest member of exclusive LongTail family. It has features such as revised bodywork that comprises of extended front splitter, lengthened rear diffuser and a fixed rear wing. It is 74mm longer than the McLaren 570S and this model specific bodywork influences aerodynamic performance. It works quite well with flat carbon fiber floor that produces downforce of 100kg at 155mph. Customers of McLaren 600LT can also opt for Clubsport and Clubsport Pro packs. With it, the vehicle becomes more light and track-focused. Clubsport package is priced at £24,170 and it offers set of lightweight carbon fiber racing seats, a carbon fiber interior upgrade. Interior upgrades can be seen on gearshift paddles, carbon fiber roof and fender louvers, titanium wheel bolts and others. The Clubsport Pro is priced at £28,480 and offers harness bar and six-point harnesses for track use. Ride height has been reduced by 8mm whereas front rack has been widened by 10mm. Chassis has been upgraded with components that are lighter and stiffer suspensions. The production of 600LT will begin from the month of October and will be limited. The reason behind it is the fact that new body panels needs specialist tooling.
