If you thought that Lamborghini V12 Vision Gran Turismo was the only car to be a part of Gran Turismo Sport, then you are farther from the truth. Mazda has revealed their own version that will be a part of this video game sphere. It was briefly featured as sketch form at the Finals of FIA World Tour held in Monaco. Just like the Lamborghini, we will have to wait it out for next year for us to see if developer Polyphony Digital is working on the model. There is no doubt that Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Concept looks gorgeous and it is because it is based on RX-Vision Concept.
The RX-Vision GT3 Concept has sleek styling and incorporated SkyActiv-R engine, but technical specifications have not been released as of yet. Thankfully, rotary engine is making a comeback but it would come back as a range extending engine like previously disclosed. Another interesting aspect which is unknown at this point is whether the race car is designed for this game will feature rotary engine of the RX- Vision Concept. Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Concept won’t be this dramatic when it finally lands for Gran Turismo. There are few factors behind this assumption, roofs are low and the wheels are huge.
Final car will have few toned-down works such as aero work with massive splitter at front and giant rear wing at the back. It might also consist of huge vertical planes on the diffuser and beefy side skirts. Another fact that we know about the race car is its weight distribution which stands at 48:52 with front mid-mounted engine. Design of the Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Concept was helmed by Ikuo Maeda who is company’s head of global design. He was also responsible for RX-Vision and RX-8. Mazda had signed partnership with Polyphony Digital and RX-Vision GT3 Concept, we will see more Mazdas.
