Lotus is not known for coming up with new models each and every year. They tend to concentrate of powering up the old model and making it much faster. Lotus Evora Sport 410 is one such model that has been tweaked to make it faster and lighter. Lotus Evora Sport 410 was unveiled at Geneva Motor Show. It is available for select markets for now. Lotus Evora Sport 410 powers come from 3.5 liter V6 supercharged engine sourced from Toyota. The additional 10hp at 7200 rpm compared to its predecessor makes it more powerful.
The torque on the other hand remains the same which stands at 302 lb-feet at 3500 rpm. It has shed some weight too and to precise it has lost 70 kilograms. It managed to do that by using carbon fibers. The use of Titanium exhaust system which is option shed additional 10 kilograms and makes the overall weight around 2800 pounds. With more power and loss of weight, helps in accelerating the Lotus Evora Sport 410 to 60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds. The acceleration is possible when it incorporates six-speed automatic transmission.
There is lot more fun if one opts for six-speed manual transmission and it accelerates in 4 seconds. The top speed for manual transmission is in between 186 mph to 190 mph. For automatic transmission the top speed falls between 174 mph to 178 mph. The aesthetic of the Lotus Evora Sport 410 is not that different from the Sport 400. However, the aerodynamics tweak has increased the top speed significantly. Lotus has decided to limits is production to only 150 units. The United States version is set to arrive in the summer of 2017. Nonetheless, Lotus is already taking orders from European and other market. Even though the pricing for the US is still under wraps, we already know that it costs £82,000 in UK and in Germany it costs €108,500.
