1950’s Lister Knobbly is definitely one of the most iconic race cars of that time. Everybody remembers this model that made headlines back in those days. Now the company has decided to built ten model. Now, these ten models will be road legal. As per the company, they are planning to build the cars on the same rigs that was used for the original ones. In fact, the same techniques will be implemented in building these newer Road-Legal models.
Now coming to the performance of Lister Knobbly, then it will be powered by Jaguar Engine. Now this exact same engine was used in the 1950’s model. It was hand built by Gardinerand, and Crosthwaite. It consists of six cylinders and it is capable of delivering 330 hp of raw power. The tubular chassis will also be the same one that was used in the Original model. The body will be made up of aluminium. As per the reports, it will take more than 500 hours of work to make the perfect body of Lister Knobbly.
Now since Lister Knobbly was used only for race, it never came up with indicators, number plates, rear view mirrors, leather dashboard and other accessories. These new models are definitely going to be loved by Lister fans. The cost of these models will start from $291,217. The heavier version with 4.2 litre engine will cost $381,818. As per the company this experiment will open more options for them in the future.
