The Lexus RC F GT Concept is all set to appear at Long Beach. This special racecar will be on track between races. The event is none other than the 42nd Toyota Grand Prix to be held at Long Beach during this weekend. The Lexus RC F GT Concept is basically a car meant for racetracks. It is slotted between a RC F GT3 race car and a street legal production version of a RC F. The Lexus RC F GT Concept was developed with the RC F production car. The concept car has been developed in Japan by Lexus Development Center.
This Lexus RC F GT Concept appearing on Long Beach a developed version of the one that Justin Bell drove. Justin Bell drove the RC F GT concept to 5th place in the month of June, 2015. This event was the Time Attack class that was held in Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Composite materials have been extensively used in the body. As a result the mass has been reduced to 800 pounds. The Lexus RC F GT Concept gets the same engine and transmission system as that of the production model. It has also got modified cooling systems; lubrication and performance exhaust setups as well.
It has also got reinforced suspensions in order to ensure durability. The adjustability factor has been increased in order to keep pace with competitive environment. There are software changes to the VDIM control system of the company. This shall enable the handling factor better for a perfect track use. The Lexus RC F GT Concept will be there at the Long Beach this weekend. It will be driven by pro racers from Lexus, Roger Yasukawa and Scott Pruett.
