Koenigsegg celebrated its global debut of their new creation Jesko at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. After that they took the Koenigsegg Jesko to Lucerne, Switzerland for a photo op. For those who don’t know, Jesko is a replacement for Agera RS and will be sold alongside Regera. Powering the Koenigsegg Jesko is updated V8 engine with flat-plane, 180-degree crankshaft and two turbochargers connected to a small electric compressor. The compressor drives air in the 20-liter air tank. The setup claims to remove all turbo lag and offers instant throttle response.
Buyers of Jesko can fill the tank with high octane unleaded petrol that will generate an output of 1,262hp. When the hypercar uses E85, the output increases to an impressive 1,578hp and 1,500 Nm of torque. With the help of Light Speed Transmission (developed in-house), the generated power is transferred to the rear wheels. This system consists of nine speeds, multiple wet clutches, and allows for direct shifts between gears. The weight of it stands at just 90kg which makes it lighter than any comparable dual-clutch gearbox available in the market.
Acceleration figure of the Koenigsegg Jesko has not been revealed, but we are quite sure it would be fast. It is said that at top speed, the generated downforce is 1,400 kg. Koenigsegg also plans to sell Jesko with an aerodynamic kit that will produce less drag and downforce and will help the hypercar to hit the top speed of 300 mph. We have attached few images of the hypercar in the scenic country of Switzerland.
