Jaguar XE SV Project 8 recently established itself as the fastest sedan at Nurburgring. However, it completed the lap in just 7 minutes and 21.23 seconds. Hence, it managed to get over the record set by Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio in 7 min 32 sec. Still, with such a great lap record set by the British brand, we can categorize the vehicle to take part in the competition. Moreover, as per Road and Track, the British brand is not planning to equip either the XF or XE with the V8 engine.
However, Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is coming up with an exceptional model. It will feature a supercharged 6.0-liter V8 engine. Hence, the engine will result in producing 441 kW (600 PS). Moreover, it will also authorize an all-wheel-drive model. Through all these specifications included the vehicle is expected to speed up 0-60 mph in just 3.3 seconds. Moreover, the top speed of the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is 321 km/h (200 mph). Ian Callum, design director of Jaguar, was asked about the high-performance model’s possibilities. He answered the publication that they work volume in correspondence with size and amount.
However, Ian Callum also added saying that if they ever decide to have the XE’s M3 version, then they will carry part of the M3 to the 3- series and will like to start their work from there only. However, Callum discloses that he particularly does not concur with the approach but meanwhile also makes it clear that he is not the decision maker. However, we didn’t make any suggestion for the company to go into direct competition with M3 and M5 of BMW. Moreover, it appears that Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operation has already sketched their plan of action. According to the plan, every year, they will bring at a minimum of one model. However, we do expect that the future vehicles will surface with high-performance variations.
