Jaguar has revealed a special edition model to mark the 70 years of building sports car. It is dubbed as Jaguar F-Type Chequered Flag Edition and is available in coupe and convertible bodystyle. Jaguar is synonymous to luxury cars, but they have had successful ventures in sedan, crossovers and now electric cars. Nonetheless, they had huge success with F-Type and this special edition marks the 70 years of launching XK120 in the year 1948. Since, then Jaguar has produced sports car such as E-Type, XK, and XJ220. Jaguar F-Type Chequered Flag Edition is based on R-Dynamic trim with the Exterior Design Pack.
Jaguar F-Type Chequered Flag Edition has upgraded unique features such as contrasting black rook and unique 20-inch alloys hiding red brake calipers. To conclude it, aggressive set of SVO-spec extended side sills is made available. Inside of Chequered Flag Edition, there is Windsor Leather upholstery, Performance seats, dark brushed aluminum trim on the center console. Other special touches include a special steering wheel with checkered-flag logo and red-leather center mark at 12 o’clock. As one would expect, special badging can be found on the outside and inside. Special Chequered Flag motifs can be found tread plates and are engrossed in the headrests.
Three engine options are available with Jaguar F-Type Chequered Flag Edition. To start, there is 2.0 liter turbo four rated at 296hp and 400Nm of torque. Next in range is the 3.0 liter supercharged V6 that offers 335hp and 380hp. Both of the aforementioned comes with rear-wheel and all-wheel drive. Engine is mated with eight-speed automatic gearbox. Price of the four-cylinder Jaguar F-Type Chequered Flag Edition starts from £62,335 and goes up to £82,935 for AWD Convertible.
