Hyundai is leaving nothing to chance when it comes to expand its presence in Chinese market. The South Korean automaker has developed a new sedan exclusively for China by the name of LAFESTA. Hyundai LAFESTA was showcased at the ongoing 2018 Beijing Auto Show and it follows ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design philosophy. This design philosophy was announced at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. At this point of time we don’t have a huge gallery of the Hyundai LAFESTA, but there are some noticeable aspects.
With respect to the Hyundai LAFESTA aesthetics, it possess large grille on the front with chrome trim. There is also a curvy line across the bonnet and also on the lower side of doors along with sloping roofline behind C pillars. It is quite similar to Hyundai Santa Fe, but in LAFESTA it goes on a deeper level. Talking about the new ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design philosophy, company’s chief stylist SangYup Lee said that this new philosophy is their goal to develop brand for vehicles that gives high emotional quotient.
Hyundai LAFESTA is said to be spacious and is driver focused and will feature premium quality materials along with new technology and several driver assistance systems. The power in Hyundai LAFESTA will come from 1.6 liter GDi engine that is also present in Kona Premium GT. The engine is mated with seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The engine develops an output of 175 horsepower and 265Nm of torque. The sale of the Hyundai LAFESTA will commence from fourth quarter of 2018 and details will be revealed post its official launch.
