Hyundai ha been pretty successful with the i10 Play and i20 Play Special Edition. Now, they are giving the same treatment to the Kona subcompact crossover for UK market. Just like any other Play models, Kona Play follows the same philosophy by combining high equipment levels with a low price. It is available with immediate effect for a price of £18,355. Hyundai Kona Play adds several features on top of the SE trim on which it is based on. Few equipment in Hyundai Kona Play consist of 18-inch alloys, privacy glass, and metallic or pearl paint at no extra cost.
All equipment adds to Kona’s SE standard spec that consist of a 7-inch touchscreen DAB radio with subscription free Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, rear parking sensors with rear-view camera. Additionally, there is also cruise control with speed limiter, air conditioning, along with leather wrapped steering wheel and gear lever. Moreover, Hyundai Kona Play comes with standard safety tech like the Lane Keep Assist, Driver Attention Alert, Hill Start Assist and Downhill Brake Control. However, a space saver spare wheel is available standard unlike many new cars.
For customization, seven color options are available with no extra cost for metallic or pearl paint finishes. Color palette consist of Acid Yellow, Blue Lagoon, Chalk White, Lake Silver, Phantom Black, Pulse Red, and Tangerine Comet. Only a single powertrain option is available for Hyundai Kona Play which is 1.0-liter T-GDi three-cylinder unit. It is rated at 118hp and 172 Nm of torque and is mated with a six-speed manual transmission that power front wheels.
