SEMA countdown has already started and many automakers want to outdo each other. Hyundai is not going be behind in its tryst. They will reveal new Hyundai BTR Elantra Sport concept. It is developed by collaboration with Blood Type Racing. This special edition of Elantra Sport receives skews of improvement that gives it an aggressive look. It will be debut at SEMA which will happen later this month. It will feature AutoArt body and paint work. Other noticeable things are custom headlights and also comprises of “track-ready” lip kit, a rear wing, and 19-inch wheels with Toyo T1 Sport tires.
The cabin in the Hyundai BTR Elantra Sport concept also gets lots of modifications such as such as carbon fiber steering wheel, diamond stitch floor mats and improved upholstery. If you are not impressed, then wait till you check out LED lighting and custom tool set in the trunk. Hyundai BTR Elantra Sport concept will be powered with 1.6 liter four-cylinder engine. It will be equipped with new intake, optimized ECU, water/methanol injection system. The performance specifications have not been revealed. Nonetheless, the standard Elantra churns out 201 horsepower and 264 Nm of torque.
Apart from the improved engine in the Hyundai BTR Elantra Sport, there is HSD coilover suspension and Fella Big Brake kit. Other changes include sway bars, a strut tower brace, and chassis brace from Pierce Motorsports. Sam Lee who is the product manager for Blood Type Racing said that they will be building upon the well-developed Elantra Sport powertrain, platform and design.
