Bugatti Chiron days of fastest road car seemed to have ended as the new Hennessey Venom F5 has been revealed to the world. Bugatti’s newest competitor all poised to overtake them with ease. Unlike Venom GT, Hennessey Venom F5 is built on completely bespoke chassis. The name comes from a vicious tornado and it follows Hennessey’s philosophy of ‘Minimal Maximus’. It means big power and lightweight respectively. It has made stride with respect to aerodynamics and it does reflect on the top speed. Hennessey Venom F5 has a top speed in excess of 300 mph.
To manage such high speed, the team of engineers at Hennessey incorporated brand new chassis and carbon fiber body. The drag is thus significantly reduced. The power in the Hennessey Venom F5 comes from the new twin turbo V8 engine. The engine is mated with 7-speed single clutch paddle shift transmission that sends power of 1,600 horsepower to the rear wheels. Because of the use of carbon fiber, the curb weight of the car is just 1,338kg. So all in all, the total combination of power, low drag and lightweight body helps the car to accelerate from 0 to 186 mph in less than 10 seconds.
Thus, Hennessey Venom F5 is much faster than any Formula 1 cars. It can reach from stagnant to 249mph and back to 0 in 10 seconds. Even though no official pricing details has been released but we expect the price to be above $1.6 million. The company is planning to make it limited and unofficial reports suggest that only 24 units will be produced. All these will make it Venom F5 valuable product.
