Genesis has introduced the all-new G70 to Australian market. Genesis G70 is available with two powertrain options which are turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a twin-turbo 3.3-liter V6 engine. It offers an output of 240hp and 353Nm and 364hp and 510 Nm of torque respectively. Both the engine options are sold in three different trims. It consists of G70 2.0T, 2.0T Sport, 2.0 Ultimate, and the 3.3T Sport, 3.3T Ultimate, and 3.3T Ultimate Sport. All the mentioned models use an eight-speed automatic transmission with rear-wheel drive.
All G70 variants will come with a five-year/unlimited kilometre warranty, five-year/50,000 km complimentary scheduled servicing, five-year 24/7 roadside assist, five-year map updates, and a five-year subscription to Genesis Connected Services and the ‘Genesis To You’ valet service. There are similar features in Genesis G70 with G80. For examples, G70 consist of Genesis Adaptive Control Suspension, Dynamic Stability Damping Control and Electronic Control Suspension as standard. Moreover, suspension was tuned to adjust with local roads and builds upon comprehensive testing which the company did in other markets such as Sweden, Germany, Korea and US.
All models of Genesis G70 comes with seven airbags as standard. Additionally, there is also Genesis Active Safety Control suite, which includes Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Driver Attention Warning, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with pedestrian detection, and a lane-change oncoming function. Furthermore, there is Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning system, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, a Surround View Monitor in Ultimate-badged models, Forward/Reverse Parking Distance Warning, and a Rear-View Monitor with parking guidance. Price of entry level Genesis G70 begins from $59,300 AUD and jumps to $63,300 AUD for 2.0T Sport with 2.0T Ultimate starting from $69,300 AUD. Base 3.3T Sports priced from $72,450 AUD whereas 3.3T Ultimate starts from $72,450 AUD and 3.3T Ultimate Sport from $79,950 AUD.
