General Motors is all set to unveil its latest masterpieces at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2017. The masterpieces are the redesigned versions of GMC Terrain and Chevrolet Traverse. The GMC Terrain has been in the making since the year 2009. The model has had very little changes over the years. The story is no different for Chevrolet Traverse. There is a never-ending demand for crossovers and SUVs. Thus, GM thinks it’s about time to give a new life to both the models.
There was a report on the aforementioned news by The Wall Street Journal. The report said that Traverse will be a seven seater crossover. The Terrain will have a tinier design in comparison to Traverse. The report also mentions that both the models would undergo change for the first time since their debut. But a General Motors spokesperson refused to comment on the issued report. As per inside news, both the vehicles are inching towards their joint premieres. The company will also start the production for the updated models together. It is supposed to be some time before the announcement of the 2018 model next year.
Experts suggest that the latest General Motors Traverse and 2017 GMC Arcadia will share their platforms. In other words, the revamped Traverse will weigh lighter than its current model. There was a leaked email invite which was sent by General Motors for the premiere of the revamped vehicles. The email read that the brand would celebrate the accurately crafted details of both the models. The details that will make the updated vehicles stand out from their competitors.
