Ford will skip the Paris Motor Show. It is all set to open its doors on 1st October. In the year 2014 at Paris Auto Show, Ford made its presence felt. In that event, the company re launched the production Euro spec Mondeo. Unfortunately, this year the Blue oval will not arrive in the French capital as the timing doesn’t fit with their launch schedule. The biennial show that held in French capital claimed that it is the world’s largest with 1.2 million visitors attending in 2014.

According to the report of AutoNews, a Ford Europe spokesman commented that it is about picking the right place and right way to deliver the news. Paris did not hit the sweet spot. Ford has expanded its show presence to less car specific events like the CES. This event will held Las Vegas in January. The Mobile World Congress tech event will be held in Spain at the end of February. Ford is trying to avoid spending millions on exhibiting old models at the show in Paris.

Ian Fletcher IHS Automotive analyst commented that it is difficult for few OEMs to justify the expenditure on these events. Some other carmakers did not arrive at this Motor Show are Tesla, Jaguar Land Rover and Mini that skipped the previous Detroit Auto Show. The latter will also miss the upcoming Geneva Show. In 2014, Ford had launched the all new C Max, S Max and grand C Max MPVs. It gave a global public debut at the Paris Motor Show 2014. It also introduced the Focus ST, Edge SUV, Euro spec Mustang in Paris.
