Ford Mustang has disclosed official name for their upcoming electric crossover which is Mach-E. Ford Mustang Mach-E will make its debut on 17th November at a special event in Los Angeles. This event will be live streamed on social media and presented by actor Idris Elba. After the end of broadcast at 9:30 EST, Ford will be accepting pre-orders. To secure a build slot, buyers would have to make refundable reservation deposit of $500. First wave of buyers would get First Edition model that will be detailed during the official unveiling.
Ford Mustang Mach-E will go on sale from next year and range is claimed to be 370 miles as per WLTP cycle and 300 miles as per EPA estimation. Hence, it would travel farther than Jaguar I-Pace which has 292 miles WLTP and 234 miles EPA. Rear and all-wheel drive variants are also expected in the pipeline with different outputs. We are eagerly waiting for the first official images but we have an idea about the outline through spy shots, teasers and renderings.
Ford Mustang Mach-E is expected to have a front end inspired by the muscle car along with pony badge on the closed grille and similar taillights. Additionally, Mach-E will stand out with the help from muscle rear fenders, sloping roofline and increased ground clearance. We have to wait for few more days to see official images along with detailed description of the new crossover from Ford Mustang. Going by the history of Ford Mustang, we won’t be disappointed.
