At the recent concluded Q2 2019 earning conference call, company’s CEO Louis Camilleri disclosed that they will reveal two new models. These models will be unveiled at a two-week event that will is scheduled at Fiorano Circuit. Few high-profile guests have already received invitations. Louis Camilleri stated that they will showcase what Ferrari stands for. He further suggested that one of them could be the 812 Superfast Spider along with new model will be launched by the end of this year.
Ferrari 812 Superfast Spider is set to have a 6.5-liter V12 engine that offers an output of 789hp and 718 Nm of torque. It is expected to be mated with seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that channels power to the rear wheels. Official performance spec will be released by next month but the coupe is able to accelerate from 0-62mph in 2.9 seconds with top speed stands at 211 mph. Another model is mysterious but it could be F8 Spider. If this rumor turns out to be true, then we would be confronting a stylish roadster. It could use twin-turbo 3.9-liter V8 engine that produces 710hp and 770 Nm of torque.
Despite it is less powerful than the 812 Superfast, F8 Tributo is able to hit 0-62mph in 2.9 second before hitting the top speed of 211 mph. Later this year, Ferrari will introduce another model but little is known about it. Previously, marketing head had suggested that it will compete in a “new segment”. As Purosangue crossover is still way off, we might see entry-level sports car. A modern-day version of Dino is also doing rounds. Italian automaker has confirmed plans for a V6 engine family last year.
