It was in the year 2015 at Geneva Motor Show, when Ferrari introduced the world with 488 GTB which replaced 458 Italia. Now, at this year’s Geneva Show, Ferrari will introduce 488 GTB’s replacement which is dubbed as F8 Tributo. Ferrari F8 Tributo is the latest Gran Tourismo Berlinetta that only pays tribute to the engine but also the concept which has made it so successful. Ferrari F8 Tributo comes with twin-turbo 3.9 liter V8 engine. But the engine has been massaged to offer astonishing figures. It now generates an output of 710hp (720PS) and 770 Nm of peak torque at 3,250 rpm. It is an increment of 50PS and 10Nm of torque 9ver its predecessor.
Without explicitly stating the fact, F8 Tributo has similar spec to that of 488 Pista. It could be possible that it also uses the same engine. The only difference is that 770 Nm of torque is reached early at 3,000 rpm. In other words, performance of Ferrari F8 Tributo is breathtaking. It can sprint from 0 to 62mph in just 2.9 seconds whereas 0 to 124mph takes 7.9 seconds with top speed of 211mph. 488 Pista is bit faster than F8 Tributo considering it takes 2.85 seconds for 0-62mph, 0-124mph in 7.6 seconds and top speed of 211mph. Ferrari didn’t disclose transmission used but we expect it to same as the 488 Pista which is seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Hence, Ferrari F8 Tributo is heavier with dry weight at 1,330kg.
With the help of Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer (FDE+) that can be activated in the Manettino’s RACE position for the first time with aerodynamic efficiency improved by 10 percent. This Berlinetta comes with latest version of Side Slip Angle Control which comes in 6.1 guise, along with a smaller diameter steering wheel rim to improve control. Several features from track-focused supercar has been incorporated such as rearward-angled front radiators and the dynamic engine air intakes positioned on either side of the spoiler instead of on the rear flanks. Additionally, there is new aero kit, new headlights, and taillights but used on sale platform. It also has S-Duct at the front that increases downforce by 15 percent when compared with 488 GTB.
