For the 2020 Racing season, Ferraro has introduced the new 488 GT3 Evo. Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo is the third generation of the race car and follows the initial release in the year 2016. A subsequent version was developed in the year 2018. Ferrari’s latest 488 GT3 Evo is available for the existing customers as an upgrade or also as new car for interested customers. Nonetheless, the most significant development for the 2020MY is the longer wheelbase. This change brings the 488 GT3 Evo to same length as 488 GTE. It will allow for reduced tire use and translates into facilitation of conversion between interchangeable GT3 and GTE kits.
Moreover, Ferrari has also developed a new engine management system for the twin-turbo V8. It said to improve reliability without compromising on precise and smoother torque delivery. A lot has been done to enhance aerodynamic package of Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo. Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo also encompasses a revised front bumper with a smaller frontal section under the headlights. It allows Ferrari to fit new canards to increase downforce. Vents on the rear wing have been redesigned.
Overall weight of Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo racer has been reduced. In simpler terms, it means when ballast is used to attain minimum weight imposed by Balance of Performance regulations, it can be fitted in a position that lowers the center of gravity. Ferrari has developed endurance package for clients that consist of new front bumper with additional headlights, quick-fill coupling for engine oil and coolant. There is also carbon fiber clutch, brake calipers and steel wheel nuts. Few options in Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo includes a sensor for the coolant level and refuelling completion with warning lights and 4,500 lumen LED main headlights.
